A SPECIALIZED MUSIC THERAPY TREATMENT

      A Specialized Music Therapy treatment is as individual as the patient. While the music of The Listening Program requires the use of special headphones other music including that of the Sound Health series can be used with a CD player. One patient may necessitate a relaxation or distress selection to decrease agitation or to reduce gulping of food, whereas another may require a selection to motivate communication, cooperation or participation. Some selections have produced positive results for stroke survivors and Alzheimer’s patients.
